DESCRIPTION:

Sheera or Sooji halwa (tricolour)

INGREDIENTS:

  • Sooji / Rava / Semolina – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 3/4 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1/4 cup
  • Nuts – 1/4 cup (cashews & almonds)
  • food colouring (as u like)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Heat ghee in a kadai, add in sooji and roast it on low heat for 6 to 8 mins till it starts to smell good. After 2 mins add in cashews and almonds.
  • In another sauce pan, take sugar and water and bring it to a boil. 
  • Once it is roasted, add in the sugar water and mix well. Cook till it thickens.
  • And now in each bowl add food colouring ,sheera and mix it well.
  • And then after mixing spread the sheera equally.
  • And the serve it if u want u can also garnish it with chopped almonds and chopped cashews.
