Winter special green tuver (green pegion peas) samosa


  • 2cups boiled and mashed green TUVER,
  • 1 cup plain flour (maida),
  • oil for deep frying and kneading,
  • 3 tbsp ghee,
  • freshly chopped coriander,
  • 1 tbsp garam masala,
  • salt to taste,
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste,
  • 1/2 tsp chopped raisins (kismis)
  • 1 tsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
  • 1 tsp  cumin seeds (jeera)


  • Combine the plain flour and 2 tbsp oil and knead into a soft douhg using enough water.Wrap in a moist muslin cloth and keep aside.
  • Heat the ghee in a kadhai and fry the jeera , chilli paste raisins and cashews till it changes colour.Add the other spices and the mashed TUVER. cook till the mixture become dry add salt and chopped coriander and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough in the shape of cones and fill in the filling and seal the cone nicely.
  • Fry in hot oil and serve hot with mint chutney and ketchup.
