DESCRIPTION:

Mangalore bajji is one of the tasty snacks which has been origin from south Indian.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp cooking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup curds
  • 2 chopped green chilli
  • 1 inch grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh coconut
  • Chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves
  • Oil to fry

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Mix all purpose flour,soda salt with curds for bonda consistency (thicker than regular bajji/bondas batter ) Now add cumin seeds,chilli, ginger,coriander leaves ,coconut and mix well. Rest it for 5hrs. (If the batter thin then bondas absorb more oil)
  • Heat oil in kadai , wet your palm and make a small dumplings with your hands in hot oil ,the bondas get round shapes automatically ...
  • Deep fry them in low to medium heat to get golden colour
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney
  • tip:if bondas r flat add little all pupose flour
